flashcards for your life

My friend Ethan takes pictures each time he hangs out with me and my roommate (and visits NYC).

He's so sneaky. I absolutely never noticed.

Yet, he's captured all our interactions and memz over the last three years.

Ethan does this for everyone he meets and spends time with.

Not just us.

And not just on trips, but during his everyday. Because those are the moments that matters most.

In effect, he has flashcards for his life.

He can look at a picture and revisit the scene—the joke, the deep talk, the vibe and feeling.

Ethan lit up talking about his adventures through some of these pictures. It seemed meaningful to him to have this reference. By contrast for me, my beautiful memories are sometimes lost to the wind.

One more reminder to myself, again, to take more pictures.

It's so nice to look back.
