task elasticity
some tasks, like writing, don't take a set amount of time. i've found that writing a piece, of similar length and quality can take vastly different amounts of time.
specifically, i feel Parkinson's law applies where the work fills to take up the time it is allotted.
thus, the reality is you can actually finish work a lot quicker when you're pressed up against a deadline, or otherwise try to go fast and get it out. i've noticed the less time i have to pack luggage, the faster i pack 😂
concretely, for work, using the 3 focus hours i'm able to get in the morning helps me pound out a max amount of work for the meetings ahead
